ACTION FOR BME COMMUNITIES CAMBRIDGESHIRE
ABMEC CIC was a community interest company funded by the Big Lottery for a five year project to December 2012. The Company was dissolved by the Registrar in August 2015.
Based in Cambridgeshire it provided support and advice to Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) Communities, migrant workers and asylum seekers to improve life chances for integration into British Society.
SmithMartin LLP donated resources to the project, and still works to promote and strengthen existing and new communities whose members will benefit from enterprise, cultural events designed to promote community cohesion, workshop activities and basic skills training.
We continue to volunteer no-cost support and maintain these web pages, and of August 2018, are actively seeking new groups and content to feature - as well as new partners to pursue projects in the ideas slipstream of the late ABMEC organisation.
